Statement of Faith
What We Believe
We hold to the full counsel of God's Word — without addition, subtraction, or apology.
We hold to the full counsel of God's Word — without addition, subtraction, or apology.
THE ONE TRUE GOD
One eternal, self-existent God revealed in three distinct persons — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God the Father is the eternal Creator and Giver of the Law. The Lord Jesus Christ, the eternal Son, was born of a virgin, lived sinlessly, died as our substitute, rose bodily, and now intercedes at the Father's right hand. The Holy Spirit convicts, regenerates sinners, and sanctifies believers into all truth.
Matt 3:16–17; 28:19 · Gen 1:1 · Isa 7:14 · 1 Cor 15:4 · John 14:26; 16:8–11
THE HOLY BIBLE
We believe in the divine inspiration and full authority of the Holy Scriptures. The Bible is infallible in its declaration, final in its authority, all-sufficient in its provisions, and comprehensive in its sufficiency. It is the complete and sufficient standard for all matters of faith and life.
2 Tim 3:16 · 2 Pet 1:21
SALVATION, GRACE & GOOD WORKS
We are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ — not by works, so that no one may boast. Good works are the evidence of salvation, not the cause. Being born again means God implants divine life in a spiritually dead heart, producing radical transformation, freedom from sin's dominion, and a new passion for God and His purposes.
Eph 2:8–10
BAPTISM, GIFTS & FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT
The baptism of the Holy Spirit is a distinct experience, subsequent to salvation, that empowers believers for life and service — evidenced initially by speaking in tongues. We believe in the present-day operation of all spiritual gifts and the five-fold ministry gifts of Christ for the edification and expansion of the church.
Acts 1:8; 2:1–4 · 1 Cor 12 · Eph 4:11–13 · Gal 5:22–23
BAPTISM & THE LORD'S SUPPER
Water baptism by full immersion is expected of all who repent and believe — a public declaration of dying and rising with Christ. The Lord's Supper is a proclamation of Christ's suffering and death, shared by all believers until He returns. Infants and children are not baptised but are dedicated to the Lord.
Matt 28:19 · Rom 6:4 · Luke 22:14–20 · 1 Cor 11:20–34
DIVINE HEALING
The healing of sickness and disease is provided for God's people in the atoning work of Jesus Christ. The church also welcomes and affirms qualified medical care, believing that God works through medicine, doctors, and treatment to bring healing and miracles to His children.
2 Kgs 20:7 · Matt 9:12 · Luke 10:34 · Col 4:14
THE SECOND COMING & THE NEXT LIFE
We believe in the personal, visible, and glorious return of Jesus Christ. The dead will be resurrected — the saved to eternal life in the presence of God, and the unsaved to eternal damnation. Every person will give account before God. His return is certain, imminent, and the blessed hope of the church.
Mark 13:26 · Dan 12:2 · John 5:28–29 · Acts 1:11 · Rom 6:23
THE BLESSING OF THE LORD
God is the source of all true wealth and prosperity. The church is called to actively invest in the spiritual and economic wellbeing of its members through teaching, mentoring, and support — believing that God's plans for His people are plans to prosper them, give them hope, and a future.
Jer 29:11 · 2 Cor 8:9 · Rom 10:11
MARRIAGE & FAMILY
Marriage is a lifelong, covenant union between one man and one woman as biologically defined at birth, ordained by God for mutual help, fellowship, and comfort. God instituted marriage for the honourable procreation of children and their training in love, obedience to the Lord, and responsible citizenship.
Gen 2:18, 21–25 · Matt 19:4–6 · 1 Cor 7:1–2
“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith — and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God — not by works, so that no one can boast.”
Ephesians 2:8–9 (NIV)
